As an aesthetic treatment, PDO threads:
- Result in instant skin lifting
- Contract fat tissue to result in immediate skin tightening
- They promote collagen production and neovascularization to renew your skin at the cellular level.
These benefits work together to give you enhanced skin texture, more elastic skin, and fewer fine lines and wrinkles.
PDO threads have been used in surgeries since the 1980s. They’re made from a colorless polyester that breaks down in your body in about 6 months.
The presence of PDO threads in your skin trigger cells in your body called fibroblasts to produce more collagen. Collagen is the protein that gives your skin its structure and elasticity. Loss of collagen happens to everyone and is part of the aging process.
